The Human Rights Actions Network - Derechos Human Rights http://www.derechos.org/human-rights/actions/ The (Canada) Federal Court has found that, considering his physical and mental condition, Helder Marques will be kept in Canada (in detention) during the ajudicial review of his immigration file (no estimation of time was provided). It was not a compassional gesture from minister Lucienne Robillard. Depending of the Federal court's judgement on (apparently) technical aspects, the minister could need to be urged again to exercise her discretionary powers and grant a special permission to Marques. To all of you who wrote/phoned to the Minister, and to ACT UP Washington for this morning's demonstration at the Canadian embassy: THANKS a million! Jean Dussault
