Second follow up of Case LBN 271296


The International Secretariat of OMCT has just been informed of the RELEASE
of Mr Pierre Atallah on whose behalf we asked you to intervene. 


Brief reminder of the situation :

In the first follow up, FIDH (International Federation of Human Rights), a
member of the network, informed the International Secretariat of the
release of all the people arrested and detained between the 18th and 28th
of December 1996, except Mr Pierre Atallah. 


New information :

FIDH (International Federation of Human Rights), a member of the network,
has informed the International Secretariat of the RELEASE of Mr Pierre
Atallah. 


Remarks :

The International Secretariat of OMCT welcomes the release of Mr Pierre
Atallah and would like to thank the members of the network, and all those -
both organisations and individuals - who intervened on his behalf.
