No specific provision although Iran ratified the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (09 December 1948), on 14 August 1956.

War Crimes

Iran has not passed domestic legislation on international crimes. However, according to information provided by the Law Library of Congress (legal report on Genocide, Crimes Against Humanity, and War Crimes Jurisdiction), "[L]egislation on war crimes trials was proposed in 2004, the text of which is on the website of Iran’s Parliament. International Criminal Court

Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court: Iran signed the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court on 31 December 2000. Not having ratified it yet, Iran is not a state party to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.
