Russia's COVID-19 cases tally rose by 11,095 over the past day - crisis center


Russia's COVID-19 case tally rose by 11,095 over the past day to 18,064,454, which amounted to 0.06% in terms of the growth rate, the anti-coronavirus crisis center reported on Saturday.

As many as 2,923 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in Russia over the past day, up 1.95% on the previous day. The number of hospitalized patients decreased in 39 regions, while in 44 other regions the figure hiked. A day earlier, 2,867 people were rushed to hospitals.

Moscow's COVID-19 cases surged by 634 over the past day versus 766 cases a day earlier, reaching 2,752,710, according to the anti-coronavirus crisis center. St. Petersburg's COVID-19 cases increased by 671 over the past day versus 619 a day earlier, reaching a total number of 1,511,478 since the start of the pandemic.

COVID-19 recoveries

Russia's COVID-19 recoveries rose by 19,006 over the past day, reaching 17,359,645, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Saturday. A day earlier some 19,523 patients were discharged from hospitals.

COVID-19 death toll

Russia's COVID-19 death toll surged by 240 over the past day, reaching 373,267, according to the anti-coronavirus crisis center. A day earlier 261 deaths caused by COVID-19 were reported.
