South Ossetia starts evacuating children from conflict zone
Evacuation of people from certain South Ossetian villages was started on Saturday in the wake of the recent escalation of violence in the region.
"The first convoy carrying children has already left the village of Dmenisi in the Tskhinvali district of South Ossetia.
"They have been accommodated at the homes of their relatives and friends in villages in the Java district," said Zhanna Zasseyeva, an advisor to the South Ossetian president.
