Russian media: "Saakashvili asked the US to send him a plane for leaving the country during the conflict"
During the armed conflict with Russia Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili asked the US to send him a plane for leaving the country, said Georgian political scientist Ramaz Klimiashvili, APA reports quoting Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper.
He said that he had received the information from Georgian President’s Office. The political scientist said that the US reacted to Saakashvili’s request when Tbilisi faced danger of occupation by Russian troops. Officials of Georgia and US have not taken a stance on the report yet.
