Georgia Must Resolve Conflicts in Civilized Way

Tiraspol is ready to aid South Ossetia, the Transdniestrian Foreign Ministry said on Monday. The South Ossetian Information and Press Committee posted the report on its website.

"Tskhinvali was put under intensive gunfire from the side of Georgian villages in the small hours of August 2.

"Georgia chose escalation of the conflict and once again confirmed that talk civilized settlement methods were nothing but declarations of the Georgian administration aimed to mislead the international public," the ministry said.

"It is necessary to help Georgia return to civilized settlement methods, as there is no alternative to them in the 21st century," the ministry said.

"The Transdniestrian Foreign Ministry offers its condolences to the families of the dead.

"The Transdniestrian Moldovan Republic maintains permanent contact with the authorities of the Republic of South Ossetia and confirms the readiness for giving any necessary assistance to the fraternal Ossetian people in line with the earlier agreements signed bilaterally and within the framework of the Community for Democracy and Peoples' Rights," the report said.
