Israeli newspaper Maariv: "The US sends weapons to Georgia"

"The US established an air bridge between Jordan and Georgia and sent ammunition to Georgia", APA reports quoting the Israeli newspaper Maariv.

Four transports flew from Akaba, Jordan to Georgia on August 8.

"Georgian army has not used the new weapons in the war and wants to use them as a surprise to Russian servicemen", said the report.

U.S transport planes have sent 800 Georgian peacekeepers from Iraq to Georgia.
