Cuban parliament calls for more decisive action against Israel

The People's Power National Assembly (parliament) of Cuba called on Saturday for "more decisive actions" of the international community to prevent the unpunishment of Israel's attack on the "Freedom Flotilla."

In a statement published on Saturday by the official media, the Committee on International Relations of the Cuban Parliament regreted that the United Nations Security Council did not condemn strongly Israel's raid and did not mention "the need to end unconditionally the prolonged siege on the Gaza Strip. "

"The only possible solution is to cease inmediately the blockade on Gaza and to prevail the inalienable right of the Palestinians to establish an independent state in their legitimate territories," the statement said.

Israeli naval forces attacked the Freedom Flotilla Monday, killing at least nine and wounding dozens. The forces also seized the ships and vessels and prevented the fleet from reaching the Gaza Strip.
