Death Toll Rises To 20 In Kabul Suicide Attack
The explosion occurred in Banaee area in Kabul's PD9 where police force members and protesters had gathered.
The death toll from a suicide attack in Kabul's PD9 has increased to more than 20, the Ministry of Interior said in a statement on Friday.
The ministry said 30 others were wounded in the explosion.
The suicide bomber detonated his explosives in Banaee area in Kabul's PD9 where protestors and police force members had gathered, the ministry said.
Police force members were also among those killed in the attack, eyewitnesses said. However, Ministry of Interior has not given an exact number in this respect.
The blast occurred at 8:30pm on Thursday evening.
On Thursday afternoon, dozens of locals and shopkeepers launched a protest in the area to reject the allegations against them which said they sell alcoholic drinks in their shops.
Daesh has claimed responsibility for the attack.
