Algeria, Niger, Chad to discuss Libya crisis in Algiers

Algeria, Niger and Chad will meet on Sunday in Algiers to discuss the crisis in neighboring Libya amid the latest developments there, APS said Friday.

This meeting is part of the traditional consultations between the three nations over issues of common interest, including the security situation prevailing in the region, says the source.

During this meeting, Algeria, Niger and Chad, through their foreign ministers, will renew commitment over solving the crisis hitting neighboring Libya through peace means, including the underway UN-sponsored dialogue between the antagonists.

The statement said that a peace process "would lead to the formation of a national unity government able to meet the various challenges facing Libya, and able to preserve the unity, territorial integrity of the country."
