Yakutia Airlines begins operating subsidised flights between Krasnodar and Crimea

Russia's Yakutia Airlines will begin from April 26 operating subsidised flights between Krasnodar and Simferopol (in Crimea), says press service of Bazel Aero, operator of Krasnodar's airport.

The one-way tariff is from 2,500 roubles (about $70).

The company will use Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 to make three flights a week: on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays. Later on, the company plans to make daily flights.

The flight will be slightly over one hour. The distance between the two airports is about 400 kilometres.

"Formerly, flights between Krasnodar and Simferopol were available in the 1970s on An-24 planes," Bazel Aero said.
