Putin says ready to hold a meeting between economic blocs of Russian and UK cabinets
During a meeting with British Prime Minister Theresa May Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his willingness to hold a meeting between the delegations of the economic blocs of two governments, Economic Development Minister Alexei Ulyukayev told reporters.
"Negative developments of the situation in trade and investment sector were marked. For his part, the President expressed his willingness to ensure that we meet in any format, between the economic blocs of the governments. Let's hope that such contacts will follow," he said.0art
Ulyukayev summed up the results of the meeting between the leaders of Russia and the UK.
"The sides discussed a wide range of issues, which are most relevant in the current situation, it was the search for some contact points where it is possible to resume the dialogue. First of all this is security, the fight against the terrorist threat, settlement of the Syrian conflict, the fight against drug trafficking and aviation security," Ulyukayev told reporters after the meeting.
Speaking about aviation security, the Minister added: "It was agreed that a delegation of the British Department of Transport will arrive in Moscow in the near future to continue the discussion at the expert level."
"The foreign ministers will meet in New York during the UN General Assembly," he said.
