Red Cross supports Russia's initiative for relief supplies to eastern Ukraine

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has supported Russia's initiative to deliver humanitarian aid to Ukraine's south-eastern regions under its auspices, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Wednesday.

"The leadership of the International Committee of the Red Cross has supported our approach and I hope it will work out the practical aspects of its implementation promptly," he said.
