Russian Foreign Ministry says it received no materials on Turkish airspace violation

Russia's Foreign Ministry has dismissed Ankara's statements on the alleged violation of the Turkish airspace by a Russian warplane saying Moscow has received no such materials.

"The Turkish side sent no materials or data on the alleged violation of the Turkish airspace by a Russian jet to the Russian embassy in Ankara. All the statements of the Turkish side do not correspond to reality, diplomatically speaking," the ministry said.

Turkey's Foreign Ministry claimed that a Russian Su-34 fighter jet violated the country's airspace on January 29. Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov has dismissed Turkey's claims as "unsubstantiated propaganda."

Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Sunday all data on the alleged violation had been handed over to Russia.
