Ukrainian government blacklists 14 Russian cultural figures

The Ukrainian government has approved the black list of Russian cultural figures, whose stay in Ukraine is undesirable, sources from the Ukrainian Culture Ministry reported on Tuesday.

They said 14 people were on the list, but refused to give the names citing international rules.

Several days ago, the Kiev authorities banned famous Russian singer Joseph Kobzon from entering Ukraine.

Kobzon, who is currently visiting militia-held Lugansk, on Tuesday urged his fellow singers to "spit upon sanctions that will inevitably follow" and head for the war-torn eastern Ukraine for concerts.

Ukraine-born Kobzon believes it is there that Russian performers are especially welcome, as "the Western public does not take much interest in performers from Russia".
