Trucks with relief aid bound for Donbas arrive in Russia's southern Rostov region

Trucks with relief aid for Ukraine's conflict-hit Donbas region have arrived in Russia's southern Rostov region where a new truck convoy will be formed, a Russian Emergencies Ministry official said on Friday.

Almost 60 trucks with food and building materials left the Emergencies Ministry base in Noginsk, near Moscow, early on Friday, Oleg Voronov, the deputy head of the Russian Emergencies Ministry National Crisis Management Center, told TASS on Friday.

"The trucks (from Noginsk) are in Rostov region to where vehicles with relief aid from other parts of Russia keep coming. A new convoy of about a hundred trucks bound for Donbas will be formed," Voronov said.

He clarified that the convoy could leave the Rostov region approximately on November 30. All the drivers are experienced workers of the Noginsk rescue center who have delivered relief aid to Donetsk and Luhansk many times and have taken part in other relief operations worldwide. Seven truck convoys have delivered almost 9,500 tonnes of relief cargo to Donbas predominantly food, building materials and medical supplies.
