Russian lawmaker criticises Kiev's plans begin propagandistic broadcast in Crimea, Donbass

Head of the State Duma's committee for international affairs, Alexei Pushkov, criticised plans of Ukraine's new ministry of information policies to begin propagandistic broadcast in Crimea and Donbass.

"Kiev wants to share with us "the truth about Ukraine" via satellite television. What do they want to share? The experience of the Odessa massacre [in May]? Or of building the Wall [at the border with Russia]?" the senior lawmaker wrote on Twitter on Sunday.

Aide to Ukraine's interior minister, Anton Gerashchenko, wrote on Facebook that Minister of Information Policies Yuri Stets said at all television towers along the border with the territory outside control from Kiev "will be installed strong television and radio antennas to broadcast in major cities and towns in Donbass." "In the regions without television towers, the latter should be built promptly, or high-rise buildings, pipes and so forth should be adjusted accordingly." The aide wrote the rebroadcasting transmitters will be used by "Ukrainian patriotic television and radio organisations."

"Further down, the Ministry of Information will be working on technical conditions for satellite broadcast in Crimea, the Russian Federation and the entire world to deliver the truth about events in Ukraine, by demonstrating a high-quality television product made by best independent reporters at the state order, exclusively for propaganda and counter-propaganda of the Ukrainian truth, Ukrainian view on the events in Ukraine and abroad," the aide wrote. Besides, he mentioned, the new ministry will be working also on activities on the Internet.

"The news came from Gerashchenko - aide to interior minister [Arsen] Avakov. Now it is clear precisely who will be responsible for the truthful broadcast with active involvement of "independent reporters"!" the Russian lawmaker wrote commenting on the information.
