Russia's tenth humanitarian aid convoy for Donbass formed up in Rostov region

The tenth convoy with humanitarian aid for Donbass has been formed up in the Russian southern Rostov region and in the coming hours it will start off for the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, spokesman for the Russian Emergencies Ministry Alexander Drobyshevsky told TASS on Saturday.

The convoy has been formed up and is ready to start off," Alexander Drobyshevsky said. "It consists of 180 vehicles loaded up with 1,400 tons of humanitarian cargoes, including 470 presents."

"The convoy will part into two, heading for the Donetsk region and for the Lugansk region," he said specifying that over 90 trucks would move to the Donetsk region and about the same number to the Lugansk region.

The relief aid comprises New Year presents, building products and foodstuffs. Also, the Russian Emergencies Ministry will deliver medicines to Donbass people, in particular cardiovascular and anti-influenza drugs and medications for diabetes suffering patients.

Drobyshevsky said the convoy had been forming up in the Rostov region for several days.

"The aid has come from ten Russian regions," he said. "Dozens of public organisations alongside thousands of Russians indifferent to others' misfortune have been raising the relief aid."

Russia had notified Ukraine and international organizations of dispatching the tenth convoy with humanitarian aid in advance, he said.
