Another unexploded Ukrainian shell found in Rostov region


Another unexploded Ukrainian shell has been found in Russia's southern Rostov region, a spokesman for the regional department of the Federal Security Service told ITAR-TASS on Monday.

"An unexploded shell, apparently of Ukrainian origin, has been reported by residents of the Russian village Anastasiyevka today. The shell has been found 10km from the state border," Nikolai Sinitsyn said, adding that the area had been cordoned off.

According to earlier reports, two unexploded Ukrainian shells were found in the region.

On Friday, August 22, three unexploded Ukrainian shells were found in the village of Marfinka, 4km from the border. Damage to a local gas pipeline was reported.

On Saturday, August 23, an unexploded Ukrainian shell was found 500m from the border with Ukraine in the Rostov region.
