Ukrainian Interior Ministry urges rioters in Kiev to surrender arms

Ukraine's Interior Ministry has urged rioters in Kiev to surrender arms.

"Law enforcers have not used and won't use force against peaceful civilians," the Interior Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.

"Police will respond to extremists' attempts to use force against policemen in compliance with the Ukrainian law 'On Police'," the statement says.
