Train with Malaysian airliner crash victims arrives in Kharkiv

A train with the bodies of Malaysian airliner's crash victims has arrived in the east Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, the city's railway station press service said on Tuesday.

"The train has recently arrived. Everyone, including city officials, came to meet it," the information service said, without giving any further details.

The Donetsk railway administration earlier reported that the train had departed from Donetsk early on Tuesday morning.

The Kharkiv Region administration held a meeting chaired by Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Maxim Burbak to discuss formalization of necessary documents and logistics issues related to the bodies' transportation.

The Malaysia Airlines Boeing-777 airliner en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur crashed in the area of combat operations between local militias and Ukrainian governmental troops in east Ukraine's Donetsk region on Thursday, July 17. All 298 people aboard the plane died in the air crash.

A total of 272 bodies have been found at the crash site of the Malaysian passenger airliner in east Ukraine, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said on Monday.

"According to the latest figures provided by the Ukrainian State Service for Emergency Situations, 272 bodies have been found, of which 251 bodies are in refrigerators at the Torez station," he said.
