Ukraine opposition's Batkivshchina denies ex-premier to visit Moscow

The press service of Ukraine opposition party Batkivshchina (Fatherland) denied reports that former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Timoshenko intends to visit the Russian capital of Moscow, the official website of the party said on Sunday.

"This is untrue. Yulia Timoshenko is holding consultations with leaders of opposition political forces, representatives of state authorities and governmental officials in Ukraine's parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, debating settlement of a heavy political situation," Batkivshchina press secretary Marina Soroka said in a statement.

Ukrainian news agency UNN reported with the reference to chairman of the civil committee of national salvation Pavel Nuss on Saturday that the former Ukrainian prime minister would pay a visit to Moscow for talks to resolve the Crimean crisis on March 3. In his words, Timoshenko has taken this decision personally.
