Crimean parliament bans activity of Right Sector, several neo-Nazi organisations

Crimea's Supreme Council has banned the activity of pro-fascist and Neo-Nazi political parties and public organisations, including the Right Sector, the press service of the Crimean parliament said in a statement on Tuesday.

The Right Sector leader has been put on the international wanted list for terrorism statement, the press service said.

Such parties as UNA-UNSO, Patriots of Ukraine, Carpathian Sich and others have been also banned due to the fact that they "pose a threat to Crimea's security", the press service said.

"Crimea is shocked by the chaos that prevails in many Ukrainian regions," the press service said, adding "The statement by the Right Sector extremist group arouses serious concern because its actions lead to escalation of violence on the peninsula."
