Death toll in Paris terror attacks stands at 129, another 352 wounded - Paris prosecutor


Death toll in the terror attacks that rocked the French capital on Friday night has climbed to 129, another 352 people are wounded, with 99 out of them being in a critical condition, the French capital's prosecutor Francois Molins said on Saturday.

"At the moment we have registered the death of 129 people in different spots of terror attacks," Molins said. "Unfortunately, the figure is preliminary, with an upwards tendency, if take into account the number of wounded people in a critical condition."

Paris's prosecutor said that the number of injured amounted "352 people."

"At least 99 of the wounded people are in critical condition," he said.

Besides, Molins said that "seven terrorists were killed" in the terror attacks.

One of them was shot be the police storming the Bataclan concert hall and the others blew themselves up with suicide bombers' belts.

A series of terror attacks rocked Paris on Friday evening with shootings, bomb blasts and hostage taking. Hostages were taken at the Bataclan concert hall where 1,500 people gathered for a rock concert and almost simultaneously three suicide bombers blew themselves up next to the Stade de France stadium where a football match between French and German national teams was in the full swing. Besides, terrorists opened fire at people in popular nightlife spots - cafes, bars and restaurants crowded at that time. Latest reports said that the death toll reached 128; another 250 are injured.

President Francois Hollande declared a state of emergency in the country and closed the state borders. The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attacks.
