Lavrov, Kerry discuss situation in Syria ahead of 2nd round of Geneva talks

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov had a telephone conversation with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry on Saturday to discuss the situation in Syria in the context of the 2nd round of inter-Syrian talks due to be started in Geneva on February 10.

The conversation was held on the American initiative. The conversation focused on "certain bilateral issues", the Russian Foreign Ministry reported.
