Ceasefire in Syria is a litmus test

A meeting of the International Syria Support Group has taken place in Munich. Participants decided to declare an armistice in Syria within a week. According to the US Secretary of Stat John Kerry, it's no concern in the terror groups. The armistice is declared at the moment when Aleppo is almost entrapped by the Syrian army.

Aleksandr Vavilov, Professor at Moscow State University and Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry, expert on the Middle East told Pravda.Ru whether it reminded yet another Mariupol.

'There is a world of difference between them. The ceasefire is carried out only regarding the forces of opposition, but not the terrorists. And the Americans have a good grip of it. They pointed out in Munich that without Syria the issue cannot be solved, they keep cooperating with Russia, the ceasefire concerns only opposition, which really wishes prosperity to the Syrian people,' the orientalist noted.

'Aleppo is almost enclosed, all the supply channels of terrorists are cut. There are neither ammunition, nor provisions. Another matter is that the civilians suffer. But you can't make an omelette without breaking eggs. The Aleppo issue is almost settled. Now there is a mass flow of refugees, and terrorists drive them to the border with Turkey. Covering themselves with them and using as a human shield, terrorists flee to Turkey. The Turkish authorities became highly upset. The situation is not simple, they will have to spend a lot of money for this campaign. What goes around, comes around.'

'The ceasefire will be a litmus paper, which will define at once who the terrorist is. The ceasefire plays not only a practical, but also an important political role. It will be easy enough to make a list of organizations, which are terrorist ones after it,' Aleksandr Vavilov pointed out.
