100 U.N. trucks carrying humanitarian aid depart for besieged Syrian cities


According to a report from the United Nations (U.N.), approximately 100 trucks carrying humanitarian aid have departed to the cities of Madaya, Al-Zabadani, Kafraya, Al-Fou'aa, Al-Mo'adhimiyah, and Darayya.

The U.N. envoy - led by Staffan de Mistura - was able to win over the Syrian Government's approval to use its highways and roadways in order to deliver humanitarian aid to several beleaguered cities inside the country.

Preliminary reports from around the country have confirmed the delivery of humanitarian aid to the cities of Madaya, Al-Zabadani, Al-Mo'adhimiyah, and Darayya; however, there has been no confirmation from Al-Fou'aa and Kafraya.
