Syrian Army advances in southern Darayya, large tunnel discovered

The Syrian Arab Army's Special Forces - backed by the National Defense Forces (NDF) - advanced inside the Al-Alaya District of Darayya, capturing several building blocks and farms from the extremist rebels of Ajnad Al-Sham after a violent battle on Tuesday.

According to an Al-Masdar correspondent in the nearby town of Sahnaya, the Syrian Armed Forces discovered a large tunnel inside the Al-Alaya District after clearing much of the building blocks in southern Darayya.

This tunnel was used by Ajnad Al-Sham to travel from the Darayya Association Quarter in the northwestern part of the city to the Al-Alaya District in the south.

Currently, the Syrian Armed Forces are still on the move in the southern sector of Darayya, as they continue to apply pressure on the remaining Ajnad Al-Sham fighters inside the city.
