Syrian Armed Forces advance at key jihadist area in northern Aleppo

The Syrian Armed Forces launched a new assault inside the Al-Malaah Farms of northern Aleppo tonight after a recovering all of the territory they lost to the jihadist rebels earlier this week.

Led by the Syrian Arab Army's "Tiger Forces" and their prominent leader Colonel Suheil Al-Hassan, the Tiger Forces entered the southern farms of Al-Malaah after clearing the main axis that splits up the aforementioned site.

According to a field correspondent that is embedded with the Tiger Forces in northern Aleppo, the Syrian Armed Forces have already seized most of the territory that makes up the southern farms of Al-Malaah.

However, the jihadist rebels, led by Jabhat Al-Nusra (Syrian Al-Qaeda group) and Harakat Nouriddeen Al-Zinki, are putting up a fight against the Syrian Armed Forces.

The jihadist rebels have not pulled out of this area yet; and they are most likely going to hold on as long as possible due to Al-Malaah's proximity to the Al-Castillo Highway.

The Al-Castillo Highway's proximity to the eastern sector of Aleppo City makes it an imperative roadway for the jihadist rebels.

If Jabhat Al-Nusra and Harakat Nouriddeen Al-Zinki were to lose the Al-Castillo Highway, they would find themselves besieged inside Aleppo City because the Syrian Armed Forces would have fire control over the roadway.
