Russian jets show no mercy to jihadists in southern Aleppo

The jihadist rebels of Jaysh Al-Fateh did not get much sleep in the southern countryside of Aleppo on Monday night, thanks in large-part to the Russian Air Force's nonstop airstrikes that hammered their frontline positions.

With the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and Hezbollah launching a new offensive to capture the entire 1070 Al-Hamdaniyah Housing Project this morning, the Russian Air Force was needed to help fracture the enemy defenses and clear the way for an advance.

For nearly 7 straight hours, the Russian Air Force conducted several merciless airstrikes on Jaysh Al-Fateh's positions in the Al-Ramouseh District and Artillery Academy; this obstructed the jihadist reinforcements from reaching their comrades in the 1070 Al-Hamdaniyah Housing Project.

Russian airstrikes in southern Aleppo are still ongoing and will likely continue throughout the day, as their allies on the ground attempt to make headway in Aleppo City's southern sector.
