Syrian Army destroys ISIS fuel convoy near Iraqi border

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) carried out a successful ambush on an Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) fuel convoy that was making their way towards the Palmyra countryside.

According to a military source in the Al-Sweida Governorate, the fuel convoy was attacked by a barrage of Syrian Arab Army missiles while driving through the town of Sha'af in the southeastern part of the province that borders Iraq.

The military source added that all of the Islamic State vehicles were destroyed by the Syrian Arab Army, including the large supply trucks that the Islamic State uses to transport their fuel reserves.

This attack on Sunday afternoon was the third attack of its kind by the Syrian Arab Army in the Al-Sweida Governorate.
