Syrian Army enters key village in northern Hama

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has managed to recapture several villages in the northern Hama countryside this past weekend after being on the defensive for most of September and October.

Led by the Shaheen Group of the Tiger Forces, the Syrian Armed Forces captured a dozen villages over the last 48 hours, paving the way for their eventual advance to the key town of Ma'an, which is located northwest of Taybat Al-Ism.

According to an Al-Masdar field correspondent, the Syrian Armed Forces attacked Ma'an's southern perimeter after capturing the nearby village of Kabiriyah and its two checkpoints.

Following a fierce assault at the southern axis of Ma'an, the Syrian Armed Forces reportedly entered the town for the first time since late September.

Intense clashes are still ongoing at the moment, as the Syrian Armed Forces attempt to reclaim Ma'an and its surrounding checkpoints from Jund Al-Aqsa (Syrian Al-Qaeda group) and Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham (formerly Al-Nusra Front).
