Syrian Air Force launches first airstrikes over southern Aleppo this year

Minutes ago, the Syrian Arab Air Force (SAAYF) launched their first airstrikes over the southern Aleppo countryside, marking the first time this year that they have attacked the jihadist rebels in this region.

According to a report a Syrian aviation officer, their jets pounded the Jaysh Al-Fateh (Army of Conquest) town of Tal Al-'Eiss in the southern countryside of Aleppo today, destroying several armored vehicles and militant hideouts.

In addition to the airstrikes over Tal Al-'Eiss, the Syrian Air Force also targeted Jaysh Al-Fateh positions at the towns of Khan Touman and Saraqib (northeast Idlib).

The Syrian Air Force should intensify their airstrikes over the southern countryside of Aleppo in the coming days, as the Syrian Arab Army and Hezbollah prepare for their large-scale offensive in this part of the province.
