Syrian Army liberates large chunks of territory south of T-4 Airport

With the Islamic State (ISIS) bogged down in the Deir Ezzor Governorate, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has taken the opporunity to launch another powerful offensive near the ancient Assyrian city of Quraytayn in southeast Homs.

Backed by Russian airstrikes, the Syrian Arab Army stormed the southern countryside of the T-4 Military Airport, liberating large chunks of territory en route to their advance to the village of Al-Baridah.

According to a military source in Homs, the Syrian Arab Army managed to kill as many as 25 Islamic State terrorists, while also destroying 1 armored and 7 technical vehicles south of the T-4 Airport.

In addition to their large-scale advance north of Al-Barida, the Syrian Arab Army also cleared several sites east of the T-4 Pumping Station and Teefor village in east Homs on Thursday.
