Heavy Blast Rocks Kabul; One Killed, 93 Wounded
A heavy explosion disrupted the relative calm in the city of Kabul on Monday morning.
Sources said that the explosion happened in police district 16 which surrounds areas such as Pul-e-Mahmood Khan and the areas close to Afghanistan
Football Federation and Ghazi Stadium. Officials from the football federation said that at least 16 members of the federation were wounded and the building has been damaged.

The Interior Ministry's spokesman Nusrat Rahimi said the explosion was due to a truck bombing followed by gunfight by two attackers who are targeting the Defense Ministry's logistics and engineering center from a building under construction in front of the military facility.
Wahidullah Mayar, a spokesman for Ministry of Public Health, said that at least 65 people, including nine children, were wounded in the explosion.
The MoD center is located close to a township where more than 100 families are living. A private school is also located within the township. The children and women wounded in the explosion are from the school and the township.

Interior Ministry's spokesman said that the gunfire still continues in the area.
He said that the Special forces have arrived in the attack scene and that the area has been cordoned off.

Taliban in a statement claimed responsibility for the attack on the Defense Ministry's facility in Kabul. The group claimed that civilians have been "slightly affected in this attack".

One killed, 65 others, including nine children were wounded in the Kabul bombing, the Public Health Ministry's spokesman Wahidullah Mayar said.
Fighting has intensified between security forces and attackers near the Defense Ministry's logistics center in Kabul, TOLOnews reporter Anisa Shaheed said.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that five attackers are involved in the attack.
According to eyewitnesses, many shops located in the area have been destroyed in the explosion.

The Interior Ministry's spokesman Nusrat Rahimi said that one of the attackers was killed. He added the operation of the Afghan forces is underway.

The Ministry of Education said in a statement that at least 50 schoolchildren from different schools were wounded in today's bombing in Kabul.
The statement said that five schools were partially damaged in the attack.

The Interior Ministry spokesman Nusrat Rahimi said that another attacker was killed by security forces. He said the clearance operation still continues.
Rahimi added that 210 civilians who were living near the attack scene were rescued by security forces.
The Public Health Ministry's spokesman Wahidullah Mayar said that one person was killed and 93 others were wounded in the attack.

Nusrat Rahimi, the Interior Ministry's spokesman, said that all five attackers were gunned down by security forces. He added that the clearance operation is underway by security forces. He said that further details will be shared later.
