    Jurisdiction

    Article 6 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of San Marino concerns "Crimes committed abroad". It states, inter alia, that the provisions of the Criminal Code apply to anyone who commits a crime abroad for which conventions or international treaties oblige the Republic of San Marino.

    San Marino is a state party, inter alia, to the Geneva Conventions of 1949 and the Additional Protocols of 1977.

    International Criminal Court

    Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court: The Republic of San Marino signed the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court on 18 July 1998 and deposited its instrument of ratification on 13 May 1999.
