Putin replaces two Russian Foreign Ministry board members

Russian President Vladimir Putin has relieved of their duties members of the Russian Foreign Ministry board: Russia's Permanent Representative to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Alexander Lukashevich and former director of the legal department of the ministry Kirill Gevorgyan, who was elected to the International Court in The Hague.

The relevant order was posted Saturday on the official portal of legal information.

Instead of Lukashevich and Gevorgyan, Putin appointed directors of two Foreign Ministry departments - Alexander Pankin (international organizations department) and Mikhail Ulyanov (department on nonproliferation and arms control).

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov chairs the Foreign Ministry board. The governing body also comprises the minister's deputies and other senior diplomats. The board considers the most important issues of the ministry's activity.
