Russia asks Interpol to put Ukrainian radical group Right Sector's leader on wanted list

Russia has sent a request to Interpol asking the international police organization to put Ukrainian ultranationalist group Right Sector leader Dmitry Yarosh on an international wanted list, the Russian Interior Ministry reported.

"The National Central Bureau of Interpol of the Russian Interior Ministry has sent to the central office of the organization documents to put D. Yarosh on an international wanted list," the ministry said Friday.

Right Sector activists were reportedly involved in deadly clashes with police in Ukraine's anti-government protests that eventually led to last month's coup in the country.

On March 5, Russia's Investigative Committee charged Yarosh with using media to make public calls for terrorist and extremist activity. Moscow's Basmanny Court sanctioned his arrest in absentia.
