Suicide attack kills 3 at bus station in central Syria

At least three people were killed and nine others wounded on Thursday when a suicide bomber attacked a bus station in the central city of Hama, state news agency SANA reported.

The bomber detonated his explosive vest in the western bus station in Hama, said the report, adding that some of the wounded are in critical conditions.

The bus station is also adjacent to a popular marketplace in the city.

Hama city is one of the few areas that didn't witness much violence during the country's long-running war, except for its countryside, where battles are incessant.

A day earlier, Russian warplanes struck very important positions of the Islamic State in the Akairabat area in the northern countryside of Hama, including weapon depots and command centers.
