Zelensky admits it's time for Ukraine to start talks with Russia -- Trump
Vladimir Zelensky has begun to realize that it is time for Ukraine to start negotiations with Russia, US President-elect Donald Trump said after a meeting with the politician in Paris.
"He wants to make peace. That's new. <...> He wants to have a ceasefire. He wants to make peace. <...>. He thinks it's time [for a ceasefire]," Trump told the New York Post.
"I'm formulating a concept of how to end that ridiculous war," the president-elect added.
On December 8, Vladimir Zelensky said that he rejected Trump's call for an immediate ceasefire. At the same time, he did not comment on the US president-elect's statement about Kiev's readiness to conclude an agreement with Moscow.
